Student Change of Clothing for those little Emergencies

Have you ever needed extra clothes for students who have little accidents at school?  I have a solution that will keep you prepared at all times. Many students in Kinder do not let us know when they need to go to the restroom. Some are a little too shy to ask or to go on their own, even-though we already have restroom routines in place. Others, are too engaged working (or playing at recess) and think that they can hold it a little bit longer. Before you know it, they have had a little accident because they did not make it to the restroom on time.  So, what’s the solution?

Solution

I send a parent letter inside a Ziploc® baggie. Sometimes I write the student names on the baggie before I send it home. Other times, I let parents write the name on it. The letter in the baggie asks parents to send a complete change of clothing to school. I included socks on the list because when students get wet, more than likely, their socks will get wet too. If students ever need to use the change of clothing, I send the dirty ones home in a bag and request a new set of clothes.

  1. Such a simple, but great idea! Adding the ziplock is brilliant! Thanks so much for the freebie!
